Tips & Recommendations to protect your transmission:

• Have your transmission serviced every 30,000 miles, or at least checked annually.
• Make sure your engine is running properly - a poor running engine can affect the operation of your transmission
• Have your radiator flushed annually: your transmission is dependent on the radiator for proper cooling, especially if your vehicle is not equipped with an external transmission cooler.  (If you tow with your vehicle or carry heavy loads, we highly recommend having an external cooler installed.)
• If you tow with your vehicle or carry heavy loads, do not use overdrive, this is a major failure in overdrive transmissions.
